I have a master's degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, awarded by the University College Cork. I did my training through Turning Point Institute in Dublin, Ireland. I have also been awarded the IAHIP Certificate of Professional Training in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.
I am a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and a Certified Associate with the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP).
Each client will require a different number of sessions based on their individual needs. While it is entirely your choice if you continue with sessions, together we can look at your progress and decide if more sessions would be helpful.
Counselling is like flexing a muscle, the more we work at it with consistency, the easier it gets. Longer times in-between sessions tend to impact the flow and progress of the work. I strongly recommend that clients attend weekly sessions. Weekly sessions allow us to build a strong relationship as a basis for our work together.
However, once clients reach a certain point in their work, many choose to move to twice-monthly or monthly sessions. Together, we can decide when it may be best for you to change frequency of sessions.
Currently, I am only offering online sessions. This allows me to see clients in a variety of geographical areas. I am currently accepting new clients who reside in Italy and Ireland.
A common misconception is that you must have severe symptoms in order to start counselling. Almost everyone can benefit from counselling, but not every therapeutic approach or counsellor is the right fit for everyone. Together, we can decide if I am the right fit for your needs. I am happy to provide referrals at any point, if requested.
I am a native English speaker, and I only provide counselling in English at this time.
